What are some more books in the "speculative evolution"/artbook genre?
I know of:
>Man After Man by Dougal Dixon
>All Tomorrows by Nemo Ramjet
and
>Expedition by Wayne Barlowe
What else is there?

Evolution by Stephen Baxter. It's about humanity's evolution through millions of years, primarily through past.

I don't know anything that isn't Dougal Dixon, but just wanted to mention the show "The Future is Wild" if you haven't seen it. It's some old/corny animation but it's speculative biology and I think it's really fun. The 2002 series btw I don't know anything about the later things

Before "Man After Man" there was "After Man", which focuses on the animal kingdom possible evolution if humans disappeared tomorrow. "The Future is Wild" is roughly based on it.

Do you guys remember the show Life After People?

I remember it now. I've seen an episode or two. I think the conclusion was there would be surprisingly little visible traces of humanity left in only a couple thousands of years if man disappears tomorrow.

Came here to post this. I remember first hearing about it in one of those top 10 most mysterious books videos on youtube as a kid.

Cool thread by the way.

>speculative evolution
There was a book by one Charles Darwin titled "On the Origin of the Species". It should be in print.
Personally I find it much too farfetched and bizarre for even the widest eyed dreamer. But you may find some amusement in it, especially if read in context of the times.
