I just got done reading Endurance by Alfred Lansing. It was a good read, but it wasn't really a thought-provoking book, just a good story. Could someone recommend books that are going to make me think? Something that tries to answer an age old question, or something cautionary and relatable to today's happenings? I know that's a broad net, but I hope someone will understand. I am going to read pic related next, which I originally discovered on /pol/. I'm interested in reading what actual people are reading and not what Google or Amazon shills; i've realized those books tend to have overt and unnecessary social commentary which i've grown to dislike.
