>Hegel, installed from above, by the *schlop* powers that be, *schlop* as the certified Great Philosopher, was a flat-headed, insipid, nauseating, illiterate charlatan, who reached the pinnacle *schlop* *schlop* of audacity in scribbling together and *schlop**schlop* dishing up the craziest *schlop**schlop* mystifying nonsense.>This nonsense has been noisily proclaimed *schlop**schlop* as immortal wisdom by mercenary followers and readily*schlop**schlop* accepted as such by all fools, who thus joined into *schlop**schlop* as perfect a chorus of admiration as had ever been heard before. The extensive field of spiritual influence with which Hegel was *schlop**schlop*furnished by those in power has enabled him to achieve the intellectual *schlop**schlop* corruption of a whole generation.
Schlopenhauer prefers salt
OP has the physiognomy of an innkeeper btw.
Schopenhauer didn't even devote that much space to the innkeeper. He wrote much longer sections about weakness of proclus and ending them to the effect of "schelling and hegel are modern procluses".
Sneedzsche failed

why is it that schop and freud became the darlings of mid century dinner parties? what is it about these two that made vacuous socialites want to talk about them so much?
>>25466662>schelling and hegel are modern proclusesI've had this exact same thought when I read Proclus. Verily, there is nothing new under the sun.
>>25467187You are hard pressed to find people in academia who are enthusiastic about Schopenhauer. Many are, however, enthusiastic aboyt Freyd, for some ungodly reason.
>>25466097Schopenhauer was chronically butthurt.
>>25466097Schopenhauer was right but he was also a miserable depressing piece of shit. make of that what you will.
>>25467195Freud is a wacky and zany jew
that pic is making me thirsty op maybe i'm dehydrated
>>25467692Maybe the image is making you thirsty BECAUSE you're dehydrated
I often hear many people on /lit/ say that Schlopenhauer was correct. But at the same time I see many people declaring themselves Hegelians, but not really anyone calling himself a Schopenhauerian. I know he had/has a huge influence, but no one seems to agree with him as a whole. Why is that? This is no hate on Schloppy btw. I like him.
>>25468281Schopenhauerians move on to be productive in other domains, like jacob burckhardt, thomas mann, wagner, jünger, einstein, schrödinger. they usually don't become famous schopenhauer-exegetes, because it isn't necessary.
>>25468281I'm a Schopenhauerian, in fact, I was the one who started this thread.
>>25468311schopenhauer sounds like a fag whose shit's all retarded
>>25468281embrace the bluepill and begome a Hegelian because reality sucks.
>>25467187Schopenhauer says that misery and hating existence are innate to existence which justifies a ruling class that makes others miserable. Freud suggests (depending on what conclusion you follow) that actual issues like not being able to afford rent are not the problems of society but that everything has to do with sex and sexualityThe latter concept has been satirized (in the German original it’s sexual *obsession*)https://youtu.be/6AJQvYaDqw8
