Has any other philosophy achieved as much as anthroposophy? Has any other philosophy developed it's own companies, banks, material culture, art, education system, and charitable organisations? The contents is gobbledygook and I'm taken aback as to how it created so much prosperity. I've come to conclude it was because theosophy said the world teacher was a little Indian fellow and people wanted a Western alternative (many followers were former theosophists), Steiner offered that and was able to fish people because he was the head of a theosophy branch. The question I'm asking is... What philosophy is your favourite in terms of what it has actually achieved and created?

it's because the theosophical societies were filled with already rich and powerful members of the intelligentsia

But it was so much more bountiful than theosophy or other high human capital groups like the Christian science movement. People were doing things and their ideas were adopted by the movement. I just think it's a shame that spiritual bohemians don't exist anymore. there's still crystal people, they're just missing the vehicle to create something new together. I don't understand how so many great people were so intrigued by the theological/spiritual aspect of theosophy and anthroposophy. some of it's interesting, but most of it reads like a word salad, I'm really only interested in what it achieved and created. It's a shame it's not as active and nothing to replace it exists today. Maybe something more approachable but still spiritual like a mix of pancosmicism, hylozoism, pandeism, pantheism, intelligent design, cosmology theorising, self actualisation/help stuff etc. it was magical and you can only create something divine if you believe in something divine. Why can't the arts, humanities, and spirituality be brought together again? It's a shame it's a thing of the past

The thing that really shocked was the reach of the theosophical society. The other day I was reading about the history of Platonism in America and learned about Thomas Moore Johnson, nicknamed the Missouri Platonist, who was this erudite lawyer of the late 19th century that practically taught himself classical philosophy without ever leaving the Missouri area, and in his monthly publications he'd promote and talk about the influence of the Theosophical Society. Pretty mindblowing to see that even in Osceola aka Bumfucknowhere you had dudes that were aware of what was going on in underground european art circles, and this was before the Radio was even a thing.
I know a lot of it was basically born out of Scottish rite Freemasonry which was very well established in America, but still.
The International Association for the Preservation of Spiritualist and Occult Periodicals has a decent encyclopedic website for learning about this kind of stuff. See for yourself.
