what version of the genealogy of morals and the antichrist should i get?

audible

i so went there :^)

Horace B Samuel’s translation of genealogy of morals is good. Don’t get any modern translations of Nietzsche. Don’t get any of the translations popularly recommend on Reddit either. That goes for all books though.

R.J. Hollingdale and Walter Kaufmann are both good translators of Nietzsche

Also, lol'd at the image OP

A lot of old Nietzsche translations are based on bad edited manuscripts and/or are just overly interpretative. Some modern editions (like the Penguin Classics versions) are significantly better than the older translations (although I would agree with you that old translations of many books are usually much better than people like to say).
