Marx didn’t invent or even propound the labour theory of value. Adam Smith, the darling of capitalist economists, believed that a commodity had value due to labour. But Marx believed that the main way capitalism operates is that surplus value is siphoned, vampire-like, from the person who produces it, but that value comes from use-value, socially necessary labour, and exchange value.

And yet it is still entirely false. GG socialist. Next time actually make an argument about the matter at hand instead of the people talking about the matter, mark of a small mind.

I made the assertion that Marx believes in three types of value that are part of exploitation to create profits. Counter-claim it.
>>
marx never accounted for the portion of value creation that went to the customer.

I care about truth and reality, not what men believe, the fact you constantly talk about the latter is constant proof of your small little socialist mind.

Reality is socially mediated

While it is correct that Adam Smith established the link between labor and value, Marx did not derive value from use-value (Gebrauchswert), which he strictly separated from value (Wert).
He analyzed how capitalism reduces work to socially necessary labor-time to siphon surplus value (Mehrwert) from the producers.

KEK, thank you for immediately conceding your absolute ignorance, the profound stupidity of all your strongest beliefs, and the falsity of socialism. You are an inspiration to socialists everywhere.

>Smith
not a capitalist, nor do most actual capitalist economists want anything to do with him. he was the least among his contemporaries and his antecedents (ironic for the supposed founder of economics his writings were dated before they were ever written, which he very likely knew as well, having access to contravening arguments against those he made. but he wasn't a serious thinker, just a statist stooge.)
he is relevant only to the classical/marxist school.
