I am not having much luck on Reddit or 4chan advice on finding books about scapegoating. If you are going to say something mean please just keep it to yourself. So, can anyone suggest books on dysfunctional families and scapegoating.

The movie The Shining gives a good exploration of subtextual scapegoating, I interpret the father as the foolish abuser and the mother as the histrionic pretend defender who validates the father. The hotel is Satan, the black/native american man is God/Jesus.

Just attend one of my family's get togethers and witness how my mom, dad, sister and brother act towards me. The siblings are especially surprising as I'm the eldest and you would think they'd have respect for me but alas I'm the family punching bag.

Rape your sister.
Rape your brother.
Rape your mom.
Rape your dead.
