Motherfucker used literal wish fulfillment with the 'outside' being used to cure the descolada. Then the whole thing with young Valentine was frankly disgusting and completely contradicted the whole thesis of knowing and caring about each other deeply.

>>25473358Agreed on both accounts. Ender is kind of a Mary Sue and is only interesting because of the situation he's put in. Peter and Bean are infinitely more interesting because they have actual bad qualities of character that they have to overcome to reach their goals. While Ender is just crying in the corner about being *too* empathic while also having the capacity for harm that he only ever exercises in understandable situations or in complete obliviousness as to what's actually happening.
