Norwegian here, never read Edda in English, but Jackson Crawford has good credentials. Used to watch his vids on old Norse back in high school.

It's fine. Not exactly epic language, but he justifies what he uses well enough - even when he only uses a word once or twice, like 'sissy' to represent, well, faggots.

It's probably not the most rigorously academic work in the world but it hits everything. It's designed for casual readers and undergrads
