NO ONE IS GOING TO TAKE THEM AWAY FROM ME! I HAVE FILES OF BOOKS THAT AREN’T EVEN FOR SALE ANYMORE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHHAH

This is what Borges predicted. The cosmic library.
>>
Do you prefer digital or physical?
>>
>>25492747
Half the books ive downloaded and read a chapter or two were not worth the bandwidth of downloading them.

I generally buy the hard copy if i find the digital book to be adequate reading as i enjoy reading physical books over digital.

>he hasn't shoplifted thousands of physical books from stores

You sound like a pussy.

Estate sales have a way better selection of books and are way cheaper than used bookstores anyway

You must live in a boring area. My town has lots of dying professors and their 1970s reading stacks were pretty great

Okay. Enjoy the eighth circle of hell I guess??? You fucking dummy.

This is wrong.
Unless you are some sort of tech company that can fundraise 10s of millions then it is justified.

I can see that 100%. The first ten years of my career were working at IT in universities. There were lots of hidden perks to being one of the university's small team of IT guys, but professors who liked me would avail me to their circulating collections of books. Got a lot of obscure WWI and WWII histories, and a few decent sociology texts that cost a pretty penny if you want a physical copy.

Is the author still alive? If yes, I buy book. If not, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
