Estrangement and self-equality are not two sides of the same coin or two elements, but rather one continuous movement constantly sublating

The book is infuriating because it resists simple "X is Y" because those are stating fixed things, externals, you want nothing nothing left behind just the subject's own movement. It's fruitless to try and assemble a clever picture because it always involves the external.

(cont) but assembling the images is still a useful diagnostic for METABOLISING why those spatial terms don't work, it's how you can form your way to understanding

Damn I might have to read Hegel
>>

All determination is negation, not simply that "X is anything not-X", but rather NOT-X IS NOTHING BUT THE CONTENT OF X, WE LOOK AT THE NEGATIVE AND SEE THE POSITIVE REFLECTED BACK AND IN THAT MOMENT REALISE IT IS ONE.

That Hegel in fact was not very good at thinking things through and relied heavily on rhethorics. Although his arguments are not always very good, his positions are. But I did not read Hegel for the sake of understanding Hegel. I read Hegel for the sake of knowing what the guys from Pittsburgh are talking about

What exactly do you mean by this?

That there actually is an absolute.

Why the fuck does this board have so many people sucking off this guy? it is actual unintelligible schlock. Schopenhauer was exactly correct when he called this guy out for "pseudo-philosophy" that is exactly what he did.
It sounds like something was said, but if you actually take the time to comprehend the mumble of words it's just bunk.
Reality isn't shaped by ideas. Reality is, Ideas are.
He preaches hippie shit, "we are all in a system interconnected that's governed by rational processes" wooooow

When your verbiage is so dense, yet your meaning so imprecise you've effectively said nothing at all. Because it can be interpreted in any way one chooses.
If you think reality is shaped by ideas, not action you're insane.

I hope to god all you people read John Locke, and open your eyes. This man was a sick mentally deranged innkeeper. Avoid Hegel like the plague.

>Reality isn't shaped by ideas
Hegel never claims this, he takes the opposite position
He explicitly says "the thing simply IS, and I perceive it independently of me"
What he does claim is reality and our representation of it are necessarily linked in consciousness

If you claim reality and ideas are entirely separate, then how do you identify or know reality as distinct from your representation of it?

You have misinterpreted the post entirely, and this is only possible if you only read the first two lines and ignored everything else. God knows I read the entirety of your post, please try to perform the same courtesy.
