It's funny if you take a step back, but if you put yourself into the guy's shoes you can imagine how everything, even the wind and sun and afternoon, seeming evil is a pretty horrifying existence. Having experienced episodes where mundane things like the air and the walls seemed demoniacally pure evil, I get what he's getting at.
