Honestly lowkey hated them as a kid (filtered, lel) aber but today I consider them infinitely better than the english covers.
>>25493862I'm not a woman so I don't care about Harry Potter.
>>25493862Very fitting. I can acually imagine him popping up from the corner and saying>We don't do that in Germany

Bad book cover thread?
>>25494329If we're going to do that, might as well bring up the Italian cover of the first Harry Potter book.Which has almost nothing to do with the actual book
>>25494151I read it as a kid. There is much better YA and fantasy (aimed toward kids) if you read more than one book series. Do not @ me again, troglodyte.
>>25493862Are those fucking selfies
>>25493862Interesting how they credit her with her first name
>>25494703I wouldn't expect an Italian cover artist to be willing to read a half-page synopsis of the book before painting the cover. I would expect him to paint 300 covers in four hours and then knock off for the day, though.

>>25493862iam from Germany and this Harry Potter was cool... a black hoodie and disheveled hairstyle... I was so god damn disappointed when they showed the faggot version of him in the movies
>>25494151>You’re a zoomer if you haven’t read it as a kid.Didn't read it until I was in my late 30s. Thought the first few books were okay, but the characters in the readers outgrew her writing ability very quickly. The last few books badly needed an editor. Her best work is on Twitter.
>>25494151I tried my best to avoid reading it and still couldn't .I was forced to read it in my Catholic school, of all places. The teacher personally bought The Philosophers Stone for every kid in the class (~30 students) that didn't already have it. Most subjects were cancelled and we got to spend the better part of a month reading the first Harry Potter, at our own pace, during school time. 11 year old me HATED it, stupid little contrarian that I was, but it really was the biggest thing in pop culture at the time. I can't recall any other book series making such a huge wave in my lifetime.

I recently read philosopher’s stone for the first time since I was a kid, and man, I thought It would be better. The movie is a much better experience, with better pacing.
