If it sounds ridiculous, that’s the point.

>>25494746
This is one of those times where Shakespeare pulled something out of his ass and the Anglos didn't immediately rush in to add it in their dictionaries of idioms

The part where the chudmaxxed Hamlet mocks Ophelia and says she's a slut was pretty funny but I did feel kinda bad.

Basically.

I kind of feel bad because Hamlet basically breaks her. He confuses her deeply, he lies to and manipulates her, when you can tell even early in the play her psyche's a fragile thing. Then he murders her dad and it drives her insane, and causes her to commit suicide. Hamlet basically chews her up and spits her out. I'm not sure if I care what he says at her grave, by his actions in the play it seems to me that he never actually loved Ophelia, merely used her as far as he could and left her broken when he was done with her.

Hamlet sometimes comes across as a psychopath/sociopath a bit. Not incapable of love, but able to be very cold and utilitarian in his treatment of others.

>anglos
everyone in Europe pretends Shakespeare was secretly one of them
