I liked it less, becouse those two aspects of it seemed to be at odds with each other. For example it was jarring when the child characters in this ultrarealistic setting spoke in philosopher's voice.However she's definitely much better than Haruki Murakami. She's also pretty cool historical capsule, as she was first popular blogger in the 2000s before she became popular writer (in fact Breasts and Eggs is collection of her blog posts, but you wouldn't guess that when reading it). Her love of beer is also endearing. I find feminists distasteful because they seem averse to sacrifice, to them the greatest horror is obligation to something bigger than themselves. That is the impression I have anyway. I think I dislike libertarians and most "conservatives" for the same reason. I haven't read her books but I get the impression that she is in this sphere. To me it just reeks of unrestrained ego.

my issue with "feminist" authors is there ideals. They don't have any. Could she (this author, I mean) could she actually explain her idealogy or belief is someone asked her? I'd be honestly curious.
