I really enjoyed "Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Philip K. Dick. I think the androids were many times "more human" than even the humans. What do you think about the android question?
In the end, the android girl is cutting the legs of the spider to see if it will be able to move or not. The point of that was to demonstrate that the androids don't have empathy the way normal humans do. The only people who would think the androids are "more human" than the actual humans are people who don't produce the chemicals necessary to feel certain emotions. Like people with autism. Or of course, the common internet edgelord who thinks that is cool and edgy.
