Has anyone read it? Is it worth reading? The reviews seem to be 50/50. Is the message anything special, or is it just immature fantasy material? I'd like to know anon's opinions and maybe recommendations for other similar books.

I agree with all of this and I don't need to add much.

The rant about schizophrenia and glycine at the end isn't fiction, though. He's 100% spot on and it's pretty well supported by the data. (Check pubmed if you don't believe me, which you shouldn't without using other sources) So if you're worried about schizophrenia start taking absolutely unreasonable amounts of supplementary glycine.

Its good. His other book Gothic Violence is similar and his editors book A Fools Renaissance. Harassment architecture is the best of those three though.
