>A far different and yet no less venerated form of grimoire is the work of magic fiction, fantasies constructed to convey one's rapidly accumulating thoughts on magic in an entertaining and enlightening form. Such fictions use the writer's magical imagination-which is held co be the absolute foundation of all magic, as discussed above- to enter into immaterial and frequently impossible realms of ideas, and co make concrete, using powerfully realised images and symbols, concepts that could not be given substance anywhere save in the flexible and fluid world of words. -- Alan Moore, The Moon & Serpent Bumper Book of Magic
Think of all the books that this applies to, esp speculative fiction. Thinking about one of my favourite sci-fi books (picrel) and the implications of such ideas on it. Now it takes on a whole new hidden meaning.
ITT we apply the same approach to our favourite books.
