I've read all of them. Not sure why /lit/ has so much sand in their collective bussies over these books. They're fun for the most part.
>OP sees this cover and thinks he's in for high literaturewhat braincells?
>>25499286>They're fun for the most part.I've heard reading them requires understanding bing bing wahoo DnD Magic the Gathering type stats and shit. Not interested!
>>25499309>I've heard reading them requires understandingwe've identified your major obstacle
>>25499311I'm too retarded for DnD...or too smart, maybe. I don't understand what an offside in football is either.
>>25499286Yeah it's heckin fun you bigots, yall need to be taken down a notch
>>25499309I mean I've never played RPGs or card games and I understood it. The actual stuff about gaining points and levels is just a background element that's always happening rather than part of the plot. The first book just introduces the whole setup. The book series on the whole is about a guy who gets sucked into an alien Running Man type game programmed on the worst of internet pop culture, and he gradually becomes a terrorist. I'm not saying this means it's particularly good literature but I've gotten the feeling the typical /lit/ post about these books is someone who read the part of the first book and gave up because it wasn't Baudelaire.
>>25499360>he book series on the whole is about a guy who gets suckeddamn I need to start on this series
