Is Doc Savage worth reading? Also talk about pulps here. I read Tarzan recently and am reading a book of Conan stories now, suddenly realizing what I was missing.

I've tried to read it several times but it honestly feels like machine translated Chinese webnovels and rather than a renaissance man you get playground-tier NUH-UH bullshit that's little better than the Sherlock Holmes show.

Ah. Yeah that doesn't sound good

which should I read if Indiana Jones was my favorite movie as a kid?

Damn people, the Doc Savage stories are great pulp fun. It's too bad they camped up the movie version and turned a lot of people away from reading about Clark Savage, Jr.

Yes definitely worth it. They are a ton of fun, well written for what they are.

Where’re my Spiderbros at?

Gabriel Hunt caters to this niche in the pulp genre. Sadly the series won't be continued or finished.

I've never read them, but I think Jose Farmer wrote a series of books where Tarzan, Doc Savage, and other pulp characters were all related in one giant family.

What kind of things happen in his stories?

The Farmer biography is fantastic and over the top fun to read.

Geez. What a Shadow knockoff.
I can see Adam Driver playing him with terrible jutting out fangs that interfere with his shpeejch

>Is Doc Savage worth reading?
Yes. They are very entertaining stories that are perfectly paced. At least the ones I have read.
