Is it possible to get my wife into reading? She is addicted to scrolling TikTok and stuff like that. I observe her with disgust like Tony Soprano watching his son chat in his underwear.The only thing she reads is some chapters in the book of Psalms every fn day but I don't even think she understands what it means (as most people who read the Bible without any context)
My wife is African by the way so I hope it's possible to get her into reading stuff
You know her bettter than any other anon on here: you should know how to influence her effectively and steer her away from le bible to literature. Her sub-specie is irrelevant, as long as she’s human she can be influenced and develop some understanding.

She's one of those many people who just read passages like mantras over and over and over without understanding anything at all. Also I bought her a physical Bible but she doesn't like it because "it doesn't use the exact same wording she's used to". This proves the mantra thing I mentioned. The exact same wording doesn't really matter, after all it's a translation from Hebrew/Aramaic/Greek.
