I don't think 100 years of solitude is healthy nor even possible, but at the same time I don't think children should be up at midnight. Certainly not on a school night.

Marquez is more exhuberant and the clear better writer of the two. Rushdie is more imaginative and the fact that he is discussing actual history makes him feel more poignant
