There are no such books for one simple reason... NEETs aren't interesting. Rotting away in your room in your mommy's house where you grew up, doing nothing with your life, whining about your lonely peepee... literally no one wants to hear about that. It's too bad, really... we're in a transition from a society where average men had some hope of getting married and starting a family, to one where women go on The Pill at 18 and slut around with handsome chads until they hit The Wall, then either find some beta cuck to take care of them, become sad wine aunts, or become crazy cat ladies. It's a classic liminal space, but the only book I can think of that comes close to addressing it is "Whatever" by Michel Houellebecq.

I've been a NEET for a decade, with brief stints of employment here and there. Being a NEET doesn't make you out of touch with society, being out of touch with society makes you a NEET. There's usually a combination of factors (upbringing, family situation, psychology, etc.) that has you ending up in this situation. I could see the NEET writing on the wall when I was like 13 if I look back at it.

I was a NEET for a decade and I value honesty, camaraderie and kindness I love helping my coworkers and try living my life by the idea that whenever I act a certain way I am creating a miniature temporary world in which the values I hold are followed but I know God is watching so nothing is pointless

Even then, what does the average office worker contribute except taxes for the aforementioned groups?
