I met a girl whose family were from East Germany earlier this year. She was sitting alone in a restaurant I entered and we ended up eating together. One of the most beautiful girls I've ever talked to, like something out of German mythology or a Wagner opera. She was at least ten years younger than me though so I didn't try anything, and I think I came across as weird as a result. She asked me a lot about myself and showed interest in what I said, which meant a lot to me. More than she could have known, since I was getting over an ex who showed zero interest in me and this helped me realise that.
