My chapter titles vary widely and always have some relation to what goes on in a given story. This is in part because I don't really have "chapters" in my story, just episodes that may or may not move along the overall plot.
Use the sequence of chapter titles to spell out rude words but using the second or third letter.>sneed's loss>giving it up>ignorance>I gave you everything>depression and other animals>griefor something like that?
Each chapter is named after a Pantone colour code reference which has no relation to anything happening in the story. The colour codes are chosen by consulting the I Ching.

First draft I name them after the scene for organization reasons. So They might have purely descriptive meta names like>Character X introduction>Rising action bar braw>Protag finds clue and talks to Character X about it clandestinelyyou know, stuff that only I will see that helps keep my project folder organized and make it easier to rearrange if I need to later. Subsequent drafts I name them based on the contents, theme, or vibe of the chapter. Stuff I actually expect the reader to see.For example the chapters above might be renamed>The silhouette>Bottle service>Whispers in the darkThat said I am a newb writer with zero professionally published anything so take what I say with a grain of salt. It's just what I personally do.
