ITT: Bad books that people cope that they were bad on purpose.
>>25515335I will never get my time back from that sad excuse of a story. It magnified my hated of all french media tenfold.
>>25515335naked lunch>dude it's like a shitpost in book form
What makes you think it's bad? I loved it.
>>25515335I like a lot of SB. Most of the early & middle stuff is OK, even if some of it takes a bit of getting into. But here he's just gone too far.Tooo far.
>based on the novel of AHAHAHAHAHA what post modern bullshit is this
>>25515565It's just a comic book based on The Stranger.
>>25515343Should have read Journey to the End of the Night and Les Chants de Maldoror instead.
Why is it bad? Why is it bad? Why is it bad? Why is it bad?
>>25515335By bad you mean you couldn't understand it. And that does make you stupid. It's an extremely straightforward and uncomplicated story. Are there big words in it, no. Is the narrator lying to you, no. Is it surrealistic or confusing on purpose, no. You are literally just too fucking stupid for literature.
>>25516143>It's an extremely straightforward and uncomplicated story. That isn't interesting. It's the equivalent of a trip to the grocery store by a robot that happens to commit manslaughter along the way. Remove the banal violence and it's utterly pointless. It's French Catcher in the Rye.
>>25516143Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean they don't understand it. In the case of The Stranger, understanding it makes me hate it even more.
