Good evening kindred banned book enjoyers.

Which banned book did you pick up recently at your local mass book retailer?
>>
My banned book for this evening is I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

>Can literally go to any big book retailer in the country and buy it if I want to

I'm tired of being encouraged to read "banned" books. It's time we destroy those same "banned" books. Total iconoclasm for the libshit left.
>>

I personally don't necessarily mind "banned book" sections containing popular books, so long as it is actually banned (meaning significant legal consequences for owning it) SOMEWHERE or at some point in time. It can remind people to be appreciative of the freedom they have to read.

For the thousandth time, the issue with "banned books" is not
>omg literally no copies of this book are available anywhere for any reason ever because the book itself is illegal
but is instead
>should the state be able to look at a book already on a public shelf and decide its citizens shouldn't come across it
Selecting what to include on a public shelf is unavoidable because we live in the real world and you can't buy every book ever published. But removal is a choice about ideas, and if you allow removal because it's the means to an end you like, it'll be turned against you and used as the means to an end you don't like. We do ourselves no favors playing dumb about this to score points against the wokes in our heads

>You don't get it, it's the slippery slope! Today, we're removing gay porn from elementary school libraries, tomorrow, it'll be 1984.

Turner Diaries and Hunter always get me amped for the week. "That's all she wrote, faggot." Classic line.

Got To Kill A Mocking Bird. My hands were shaking so bad I was just waiting for Trump's secret police to arrest me.

What a book that was

It's very interesting that the banned books subreddit has a list of books they won't share
hmmmmm

It is completely appropriate for the state to ban filth from school libraries yes. Faggotry, trannies, feminism, and nons do not require representation, they require ostracisation.

>appropriate for the state to ban
Don’t you retards value small government?
>>
>>25516757
The government has a right to speak like anyone else. It has a right to not be associated with a book if it doesn’t want to be. Just because your furry tranny porn is unavailable at a kindergarten library in South Dakota mean it’s been banned.
