The spiritual/philosophical quest may be a powerful paradox or a completely unhinged question detached from reality. Not to build a strawman, but the quest is often framed as "why am I here and why does anything exist?" The popular solution is framed as, essentially, something with a complete lack of actual understanding. So when someone believes that the spiritual quest is why am I here, their answer can only be (when you pair it with the question of phenomenal reality) "I am here to figure out why I'm here." It's actually quite fucking funny. "Existence exists to figure out why existence exists". It's like the maxim of a psychedelic 1984.

But I can't discard the idea of a God. The subatomic world is such an unknown that a God could have evolved there.

Retarded on many counts. Existence doesn't need to figure itself out. If you want to prove that it does, you need actual proofs and not just declarations. Second, you don't even understand the universe.
