I just don't see the value in a thought experiment that takes things to the extreme. Reduce fulfillment to the extreme. Increase suffering to the extreme. Increase the timeline to the extreme. And from there we conclude that happiness is the only logical answer?But you could also run the opposite extreme. Imagine you only have 14 seconds to live but you experience cascading orgasms that increase in intensity if only you promise to kill yourself before the 14 seconds is up.We live at neither extreme.
