You've done little more in life than make pained sounds on 4chan. My mother is very well. War happens. Your protestations mean nothing. And you are not a good person. You have a rotten heart, as evidenced by this exchange. Both Tolstoy and Dostoevsky, in their disgust for you, would only refer to you vaguely as a cautionary tale of what a broken man looks like. You have cursed yourself to remain stuck as an exceedingly small and bitter dwarf (not a man).

>>25533151>Not being subject to MoscowLmao, of courseUkraine, prior to the war and still, has the most incompetent and corrupt government in Europe. They had two trajectories this century: the umbrella of Russia or orders from Brussels and NATO. There is no such thing an independent and sovereign Ukraine. It is germane to note that Europe under Brussels is currently and intentionally committing Europeans to their ethnic replacement.Ukraine cannot win this war. That has been obvious for years. By supporting Ukraine you are therefore happy to send multiple generations of foreign white youth into a woodchipper for an impossible dream which, even if realised, would result in fifty million Indians on deliveroo bikes traversing the steppe. Ukraine wouldn't be independent and there would be no Ukranians left anyway.I think you're posting from an army barracks.
>>25533170You misunderstood my post. I am not afraid that Moscow will make Ukraine less corrupt. They will literally kill people. I thought bombing their own "ethnic Russians" to own the hohols made their regard for human life clear. While Putin makes entire speeches about how Bashkirs and shitskins are as Russian as he is? Wake up.
>>25533169I haven't embraced them. And if you are Ukrainian and have committed to sermonizing on 4chan, you're even worse off than I initially thought. You truly are without strong roots. I hope you make it to the other side of this war and of this existence. But your bitterness blackens your soul. You are in agony and you attempt to use your pain to wither others. All it does is further burn you.No man of God brings up another man's mother. I'm sorry to say that you've failed yours. In the meanwhile, I'll continue living a good life despite your desperate mewling for me to be your enemy. I'm not. I'm trying to help you. But you crouch in the darkness. You are a chained shadow.

>>25533180Reading may not currently be your strong suit, though I can understand why given how rattled you are by your environment. I urge you to take a breath and attempt to consider things neutrally. If you do and choose to re-read our conversation, you'll see that you're distorted my words. Or perhaps you're aware, but some grudge inside you compels you to respond in bad faith. I'm sorry if this angers you, anon, but I accept that war is an inescapable condition of humanity. I wish it were not so, just as I wish greed and other things weren't. However, it is and I will not cope with that fact by meandering through hours and pages of unobtainable counterfactuals. Ideals are good to have, but they remain out of reach at large. We can only work on ourselves, tend to our own gardens, improve our immediate and local environments. I've worked in both national-level politics and held senior positions in state-level government. I now work as a litigation paralegal and hope to go to law school next year. I have impacted many lives and will continue to do so. But morality does not dictate reality. This is a lesson you have to accept. Chaos reigns. We simply do our best to navigate it.
>>25533185Without the reddit spacing I'd almost not notice the conflation of "morality does not dictate reality" and "we can only work on ourselves". You have so much reflection to do, Anon. So much ground to cover.Shame.
>>25533190I've reflected a lot and covered a lot of ground. It's why I know this to be a fact. How old are you? What exactly do you contest about those two claims? Did you give weight to the rest of what I said or have you again fallen victim to selective and distorted reading?
>>25533195Reading may not currently be your strong suit, though I can understand why given how rattled you are.I urge you to read the word "conflation" in >>25533190 to find out that which truly is contested.Mayhaps this redditor manner of talking guides you to a better grasp of truths obvious to all... barring the professionally helpless.

That's generally an ingredient of productive conversation. Your last paragraph is trivial and, again, full of hatred. You will never exist as who you want to be as long as you give in so easily to lesser temptations. Anyway, as I finish this post, I realize I've got to start working. And I've lost interest in you. Libtards were dumb enough to believe that Russia, and China for that matter, would become libtarded if only it had greater access to the global economy. This was what they were teaching at every university and writing about in every journal at least as late as 2010. Hubristic beyond belief. On top of that the US expanded NATO towards the Russian border and backed a series of color revolutions throughout the 2000s (see pic-related propaganda from 2015, lol). Ukraine isn't a real country, it's just borders Stalin created to make the USSR seem like it had a greater number of states, and Russia has held influence over the region going back to the mid-1600s. Even before that Ivan the Terrible was fighting the Polish and Lithuanians, which controlled the territory, for control of the caucuses. The midwit take is that Putin wanted a land grab or needed to invade Ukraine to deter NATO expansion or some other security issue. The true reason is that Ukrainian farmland is an existential resource that must be controlled for national survial and leverage over western Europe. When everyone and their crops are getting raped in a decade or so from now thanks to global warming related disruptions, guess who will be sitting pretty with most of the gas and food in Europe? It's just pure Realpolitik.
>>25533027>ITIT was slow walked into an inevitability by NATO and the Bidens. >>25536599It was a world war because the front wasn't limited to a single region and pretty much every country contributed to it in some form. >>25536685>It does go back about a centuryNo. It goes back to the first czar starting shit with Poland/Lithuania. >But the animosity with the general West goes back fartherNot even close and not nearly as important as the regional stressors. >The Bush wars declared a war on a vague tacticYou're parroting a retarded talking point from over 20 years ago. It has nothing to do with the current phase of the Russia/Ukraine conflict. The War on Terror shit is more prevalent to things like domestic spying and such (e.g. the fact that everything you do and say can be obtained by various alphabet agencies and the fact everyone has checked off on countless end user agreements giving corporations the ability to legally harvest data and transfer it to said agencies). >It's so broad they (The CIA) imprison anyone anywhere for nothing at all but made up terrorist charges. This has nothing to do with Ukraine/Russia. >This will increase as their war spreads.Whether or not the war will spread is an open question. It's very unlikely it will spread as a traditional hot war and it's already of global reach in terms of financial and logistical inputs. It's a regional conflict that was rapidly made into a pseudo-proxy war ("pseudo" because interests that existed within a Cold War context don't exist, things have changed dramatically, but it's still being reported on as if it were one). >Quibbling over what makes a world war is so lawyerly shitIt's not. It's very important to define and delineate terms. One of the first things they teach in International Studies is breaking conflicts into frames and seeing how the various inputs and outputs react across them. You don't analyze and report on a regional conflict the same way as you would an international conflict--the actors are different and the methods of feeding or starving it are different. >I think I have the stronger caseCool. I know you're a retard who's parroting nonsense he's heard and lacks any critical thinking ability. >>25533027No. Both would consider it a tragedy. But Tolstoy would support Ukraine, and Dost wouldn't care who won, it's all bull to him.
>>25533027If you are alluding to Dostoevsky’s worst novels, then, indeed, I dislike intensely The Brothers Karamazov and the ghastly Crime and Punishment rigamarole. No, I do not object to soul-searching and self-revelation, but in those books the soul, and the sins, and the sentimentality, and the journalese, hardly warrant the tedious and muddled search. Dostoyevsky’s lack of taste, his monotonous dealings with persons suffering with pre-Freudian complexes, the way he has of wallowing in the tragic misadventures of human dignity – all this is difficult to admire. I do not like this trick his characters have of ”sinning their way to Jesus” or, as a Russian author, Ivan Bunin, put it more bluntly, ”spilling Jesus all over the place." Crime and Punishment’s plot did not seem as incredibly banal in 1866 when the book was written as it does now when noble prostitutes are apt to be received a little cynically by experienced readers. Dostoyevsky never really got over the influence which the European mystery novel and the sentimental novel made upon him. The sentimental influence implied that kind of conflict he liked—placing virtuous people in pathetic situations and then extracting from these situations the last ounce of pathos. Non-Russian readers do not realize two things: that not all Russians love Dostoevsky as much as Americans do, and that most of those Russians who do, venerate him as a mystic and not as an artist. He was a prophet, a claptrap journalist and a slapdash comedian. I admit that some of his scenes, some of his tremendous farcical rows are extraordinarily amusing. But his sensitive murderers and soulful prostitutes are not to be endured for one moment—by this reader anyway. Dostoyevsky seems to have been chosen by the destiny of Russian letters to become Russia’s greatest playwright, but he took the wrong turning and wrote novels.
