I love how the cities are described and I wish there was more of it but the books often stay in one place for extended amounts of time.

War and Peace works fine on audio because it is stylistically straightforward (in the main translations). The Brother's Karamazov does not because it has so many weaving speeches. Eugene Vodolazkin actually works quite well despite all the linguistic stuff going on in Laurus because it is written conversationally and the mix of new fiction descriptions and old fashioned language (which the translator did a great job with) works well. It just depends.It's also an acquired skill, just like reading or, I would assume, reading by touch.
