The liberal/left half of the country is fostering this attitude (in academia, in media, etc.) and this will have disastrous impacts on the future of the nation. Postmodernist and poststructualist philosophy and critical theory aren't so much normative positions but descriptive ones, anon, and this includes people on the Right as well. And again, given how this administration is treating the rule of law, I'd say the Democrats are looking way more patriotic and American at the moment. But all of this is nullified because some Republicans think the Confederacy was, like, so based?Again, I'm not totally unsympathetic to what you're saying, but you're totally exaggerating its reality and influence. Democrats are still Americans. They aren't the ones cozying up to Russia and Putin and North Korea.
