People romanticize intimacy because they conveniently ignore the price of it. The moment you actually let someone matter to you, you hand them the ability to reject you, misunderstand you, leave you, disappoint you or make your entire emotional state dependent on whether they still want you around. Solitude hurts but at least its terms are stable. You can want love all you want without pretending that getting it is some uncomplicated salvation. Imagination is safer because nobody can betray you there and you can experience every possible tenderness without surrendering your autonomy. Spending your life desperately needing people who have the power to hurt you is just pathetic. I'd rather keep the longing and protect the part of myself that can still dream than trade it for a relationship that can eventually turn into another wound.

>>
>>25559227
No, what's pathetic is lack of commitment. The way you and others get this so fundamentally backwards is why things are the way they are.
>>
>>25559227
That's a lot of words just to say you're a sad, spineless coward who's terrified of living.
>>
>>25559227
>I'd rather keep the longing and protect the part of myself that can still dream than trade it for a relationship that can eventually turn into another wound.
relationships unlock new and more intense powers of dreaming.

and anyway, what's so bad about a wound?

overall a very wretched life-hating post.

if it's a rationalisation for being unable to find a gf, you have my sympathy, but it's still a rationalisation.

the correct response to being unable to find a gf is 'oh well'.
>>
>>25559227
Just be stronger emotionally lol. Did you not start with the Greeks?
>>
>>25559227
wise words anon. we must avoid unnecessary suffering as much as we can.
>>
>>25559322
I'm not OP.

>and anyway, what's so bad about a wound?
there's nothing noble about suffering. all suffering is bad and worthless.

>overall a very wretched life-hating post.
life (existence) itself is meaningless suffering.

>if it's a rationalisation for being unable to find a gf, you have my sympathy, but it's still a rationalisation.
it's just a mindless biological mechanism, there's no deeper meaning behind it, and there's no need to rationalize it.
>>
>>25559227
>People romanticize intimacy because they conveniently ignore the price of it.
The problem with your sad projection is that, people who actually achieve real intimacy doesn't have to pay any "price". They enjoy it for it's own sake, and on their own terms. I didn't even read the rest of your post. You faggots are so pathetic.

So KYS. At least it will stop you whining.

Just start psychomaxxing and get a woman to be in a relationship with you while you don't care about her at all. Women love psychopaths as well so it works out really well, win-win situation. Alternatively, meditate and steel your mind until you're truly free from desire, because right now you clearly are not.
>>
>>25559754
>all suffering is bad and worthless.
suffering is worthless, yes. but getting wounded involves more than just suffering. every intense contact with the world reveals something new if you know how to look and have the power to withstand the pain.

>life (existence) itself is meaningless suffering.
not for me.

like all nihilists, your problem is a lack of imagination.
>>
>>25559281
wrong
commitment is a carrot someone dangles when they are getting what they want from you.

thats like 90% of people.

it only exists for real for like 10% of people.

It all depends on how easy you are to mentally disturb, how dependent you are on approval, and how traditional your value system is. I'm similar to you (or the guy you are quoting, I did not read him), had a relationship go wrong and also chose to not pursue any romantic relationships after that. This was 7 years ago, and I no longer want any.
This doesn't mean that it's the only way or that it's the superior way or something. Some people start early, get their first bad breakup in the early teens, and by mid-20s rejection doesn't hurt them too much so the expected value (risk vs reward) is profitable for them. They proceed to date and eventually get a family. If it works for them great. They usually feel great about having kids, passing their genes onward, and this type of traditional value stuff. It's also OK, I mean if it works for you great.
The only thing I would generally recommend avoiding is specifically incel discourse and company. I mean I hung out with these people in the past, they are genuinely a sad bunch, they just identify with their problem and keep stewing in it. They are genuinely unhappy but do absolutely nothing with their life, they just sit there and stay miserable, the fact that they have no gf has become the defining fact of their being for them. This is just a worse outcome by any measure, whether you ultimately stay single or not.

I fucked this one girl and she was all over me but I couldnt even cum even though I fucked her over and over, even in her ass, I couldnt really do it, she bored me, her mind bored me, she was a sucker and I had no interest in her soul, I simply waited until she disliked me, but I know I am living rent free in that stupid head of hers.

Long story short, if you dont have feelings for someone you may as well be lonely, its more dignified than being deep in some cunt and thinking what the fuck am I doing?

The problem with the concept of the "incel" is it's seen as a constant negative psychological condition. Rather than that of one of potentially many other factors, including but not limited to sociological, cultural, societal, biological, environmental, dietary intake, bio-evolutionary and financial that aren't taken into a account.

Take for instance the surface level of the sexual revolution of birth control (on a biological level, but also sociocultural level). And that roughly anywhere between 1% to 2% of oral birth control is contaminated in water sources and how that may affect the sexes and their sexuality over the past 70 or so years of being in the water system.
Then too, that testosterone levels have been dropping in men from 20% to 50% over the last 50 years.

There's also the cultural, economic, and educational shift and contentious argument of an every growing (matriarchal positioned) society that puts women's career and educational prospects forward over mens as a form of over correction to the point of corruption. That's now resulted in 60% to 70% of women attending college over men. (This moreso highlighting women date upwards, not downwards)

That not even considering how feminism and misandry is taught to women, and that anti-male sentiments are encouraged, but not vice versa.

It especially doesn't take into account women's empowerment, that usually is just thinly veiled toxic-femininity and toxic-positivity under the guise of empowerment.

But this is already playing out by women basically self-selecting themselves out of relationships because they "shouldn't settle for anything less than the hyper idealized man" and "they're worth it", "I'm a 10 out of 10" type delusional empowerment.

There's a lot more of self-evident arguments that make up the whole of the "incel", the "dating crisis" and the "birthrate decline" that goes beyond simply pointing to the economy, but also the economics between the sexes.

But women are basically prohibited from being analyzed for playing any potential part in this be it directly or indirectly.
Hell, not even cu3k Jordan Peterson refused to analyze women on any of this, and told men to "bear their cross" as there are issues and inconsistencies that are more than salient in the greater conversation.

I'm leaving a lot out too, of food and dietary changes, agriculture, and environmental and cultural affects on both the sexes.

And then the strange appearance of "trans" that seems to overwhelmingly seem to be one sided on the male side. And the explosion of multiple sexual identities and alt-lifestyles.

I think it's all holistically connected with one another. Rather than just the feminist dismissal in the psychological sciences (that is unironically, staffed by an overwhelmingly female workforce who do have a sociological chip on their shoulder, and an axe to grind as well).

>tldr
>spoonfeeding "readers"
It's basically goes over that there's more to "incel" than just sexual entitlement and frustration, and there are deeper causes beyond simply saying someone has a mental disease.
>>
Pretty much.
If there's one thing women have known how to do at least once a decade is take more than give (in terms of things you actually want/accept/even asked for), at least if you REALLY let your guard down without fighting back..

Sure anon, suffering makes you strong, instead of actually weakening you with said suffering.
It's almost like it's double-think to try and make suffering seem palatable to the general society. The lower classes underfoot have to suffer, and that's a good thing, toughens them up, numbs them out to the world, makes better workers who don't question anything. But not my family and kids, kek.
Fuck this gay as system of cock and ball torture, bdsm fetishism of pain and suffering as a ticket to strength. Self-induced suffering on your terms is strength, aka studying, athletics, learning, self-sacrifice for your own personal journey (minus what you can do for the society, but what you can do for yourself, and not the double-meaning, double-think of gotta improve so I can improve as a worker).
>>
>>25563960

>I'd rather
No you would not. The thing that makes a cope a cope is that it is a lie. You can find ways to LIVE with your suffering, you cannot find ways to LACK its cause when its cause is as fundamental to the human experience as not going through those experiences alone and having love, intimacy and children. "Romance" as an idea expressed when we use it to name a genre is fake because it depends on proto-feminist concepts of how women actually think and what love (especially eros) is contingent on, that have been debunked so thoroughly even by a hivemind of 80 IQ spergs on webforums that it's comical to even bring it up anymore, but your life lived without being a romantic and without emotional attachment to a woman who could be your wife and the mother of your children is a lesser life. It is your life, you do not have to square it with the duties you would have in another life, but that's the fact of it. You cannot suffer with dignity if you deny the suffering itself. The lesser man still gets to think of the future, or academia, or the military, or the arts, or service to his community and then we look at what the lesser man has done with these things. It's all trash. Because deep down he cannot believe that these are things he can use to escape from himself in a world that has the power to decide if they matter, if they are honourable, or if they even still exist. You are supposed to live the rest of your life for the posterity of a family you built with your youth, remove the family and you only have the rest of your life in an age of stability and prosperity, we do not live in such an age.
>>
>>25564025
>aka studying, athletics, learning, self-sacrifice
these aren't forms of suffering. do you genuinely believe you have achieved something by being fat?
>>
>>25564044
well, breathing can sometimes be a pleasure, it can have intrinsic worth. mountain air and all that.

but in any case, the intrinsic worthlessness of suffering is important for the concrete historical reasons this guy eloquently raises >>25564025. sacrifice can be fetishised, worshiped as an end in itself. the cult of sacrifice can then become a disciplinary ideological tool. as is happening all around us.

the concrete-historical is the only level worth thinking about.
