I want to understand how women write and why it appeals to other women, and I'd rather read contemporary romantasy than old school romance like Danielle Steele or w/e.
I will say unequivocally, having not even finished the first chapter of Fourth Wing, this woman cannot turn a sentence. It's very stilted, and it's almost 500 pages long, it feels like a clumsy woman stumbling through an obstacle course twice as slowly as everyone else.
