I'm looking for books about the history of ancient Greek civilization, from the time of Homer in 600BC to Alexander. Any good suggestions?
Burckhardt
Just keep in mind that the concept of history did not existed at the time. Everything you read was not expected to be real. There was also much less people back then. When you read Iliad, and Homer tries to convince you that 10000 people is a lot, don't try to compare with modern stuff.

>>25563936>Everything you read was not expected to be realOutdated and discredited view contradicted by every time some Turkish farmer turns over an old rock and once again vindicates Homer and Herodotus
