How do I do poetry? I'm a real autist and I can't comprehend and definetely not write it. Can you gimme some pointers? In my head, I defined poetry as regular text but with a lot of implicit language, like "I am without a king," this phrasing doesn't come out of our mouths naturally, so my understanding of it is to think the main idea of the sentence, then obfuscate it with elegance or, if you hate me, use an analogy.I used to parked my car on my neighbours's lot. He'd make sarcastic compliments and thank me for taking his place and I'd simply respond with "you're welcome." It took me years to understand that he wasn't genuinely thanking me.
