>Solves mental health
>Solves relationships
>Solves criminal justice and civil justice
>Solves mental health and psychology
>Solves political structure, america is modeled with his critiques of aristocracy, monoarchy, and democracy in mind
>Invented/discovered the scientific method
And these retarded historians and classics professors will still defend and say Julius Caesar was cool/good. While criticizing Donald Trump when they are the same type of guy. Julius Caesar destroyed roman virtue and fucked the timeline. Why doesn’t anybody start with the greeks? You’re wrestling problems that have been solved for thousands of years.
>>
how do you measure the golden mean of a virtue? vibe based, unfalsifiable shit.
ethics were solved by spinoza in 1677 btw
>>
>>25585501
You can criticize it as vibe based but it’s not at all, something can objectively be done gracefully, quietly, easily, and moderately. The only way to solve ethics is to have a million cases and know every scenario/identity, ie be a lawyer/judge who knows the details of a ton of cases.
>>
Schopenhauer literally didn't go outside and his entire philosophy is based on literal fiction, considering hedgehogs relax their quills and huddle for warmth

Ok I’m reviewing Spinoza’s ethics, ok so it’s all logically derived and connected by these principles, and he approached it geometrically, so let’s review: when the Mind imagines its own lack of power, it is saddened by it",[2] "a free man thinks of nothing less than of death",[3] and "the human Mind cannot be absolutely destroyed with the Body, but something of it remains which is eternal."[4]

For me personally, all 4 of these are true, the 4th is much less true though, certainly i existed for a time and effected the world. I guess that makes me eternal but I’m not sure that’s what he means at all.

I know number 1 is not true. I’ve heard many people say neuralink is bad. And there is a faction that thinks it’s bad and they don’t want the cyborg future. So right off the first pitch and hesitant to actually commit to reading this. I’m heavily influenced by the last book I read and I don’t want to fuck myself up with some dumb shit.
>>
>>25585531
To correct myself, I know he put these 4 things forward as universally objectively true and I understand that some things, like science/math are universally objectively true. When I say 1 and 4 are less true I mean that I don’t think they’re universally true for humans.

>Schopenhauer literally didn't go outside
He literally talks about the necessity of daily outside recreation as a precursor to the rest of life

By the time Caesar came to power, Rome was already fucked beyond saving. Read Ibn Khaldun, Spengler, and Marx before responding.

AMERICANS WILL START WITH THE AMERICANS
DUTCH WILL START WITH THE DUTCH
FILIPINOS WILL START WITH THE FILIPINOS
GREEKS WILL START WITH THE GREEKS
ZIMBABWAEANS WILL START WITH THE ZIMBABWAEANS

AND SO ON, AND SO FORTH, THE LIST CAN BE COMPLETED FOR ALPHABETICAL COMPLETENESS, ONE LANGUAGE FOR EVERY LETTER, ET CETERA

SO NOT NOBODY STARTS WITH THE GREEKS: THE GREEKS START WITH THE GREEKS

THAT IS MY ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION
>>
>>25587079

I can concede that Nietzsche has awfully little to say about Aristotle, and that at some point I was quite interested in reconciling the two. However, to call Nietzsche a pseud just because Aristotle was somewhat of a precursor to some of his ideas is disingenuous at best.
You cannot claim to have "solved" virtues without also doing a thorough evaluation of what drives us to said virtues. Shit on Schoppy all you want, though.
>>
>>25587192
VIRTUES ÁRE THE SOLUTION, AND ALSO THE REWARD FOR SOLVING YOUR PROBLEMS

THAT IS WHAT MATURATION ENTAILS

AN AUTHOR WHO IS IN THE PROCESS OF BECOMING VIRTUOUS AND DOES SO BY WRITING AND PUBLISHING BOOKS...

JUDGE THE VIRTUES FOR THEIR VIRTUEOSITY,

AND THE PROCESSUAL WORKS FOR SHOWING THE PROCESS IN BECOMING VIRTUOUS

*VIRTUEOUSNESS

If an american starts with the americans they will be led to common sense, the declaration of independence, then the federalist papers as the third thing. The federalist papers will lead them to rome, which will lead them to the greeks. At least in my case, I’m sure other people have taken this pipeline.
>>
>>25587304
YES.

AND WHERE WILL THE GREEKS LEAD THE AMERICAN TO?
>>
>>25587313
Nature?
>>
>>25587319

EXACTLY

https://www.nature.com/
Also
https://www.science.org/

And so an so...
>>
>>25587328
Ya I agree with you, nature and science is the bottom. Aristotle was very good about talking about that in a clear and contextually appropriate way. STEM is the way for sure.
>>
>>25586959
You have read neither
