I actually thought about this question for a while and my answer is No but it depends how you look at it. The way he phrases it makes it sound like “Liberal ideology” originating from Kant vs illiberal Russia. Really the war is more like OUN-B and other far far fringe right Azov forces vs equally far right and far left sources on the Russian side with the Banderites being proxies for Liberal Europe. It’s two sides of right wingers killing each other for the profit of a third group that isnt directly involved.

That’s not just my opinion that’s what most philosophers would say. Thomism is fringe; it doesn’t make sense to reify a thought the way so much classical theology does. Classical atheism too, consider Spinoza.
