>>25590367Kitchen Confidential is good but because of the show getting Bourdain's general thoughts out into the world so thoroughly parts of it will feel like a given. I read it before I saw any of the episodes and at the time basically everything in it was fresh. For a similar experience to reading KC prior to the show you can try House of God, which is Kitchen Confidential novelized and for the medical residency process.
