So I need to take some notes and I randomly grab the nearest planner that was lying around. It's all good except the pages are perforated (pic related) in a way that I'm encountering for the first time. These detachable corners have the respective month/day marked on them. What is the use case for this, is it supposed to be an alternative to dog-earing?
>>25590668It's easier to flip to the current page. At least, that's how I've used it the one time I came across one. A pretty simple design which I'm surprised more manufacturers haven't caught on to. Idk, maybe it's not cost-effective.
>>25590675Were you ripping them off then?
>>25590668You rip the corner of the current day when you use it. Then when you open it again you don't have to look for the right page, you just go to the first intact corner and you're in the right place. Have you ever seen one of those calendars where you pull a page off each day? It's the same concept but in notebook form.
>>25590709>you just go to the first intact corner and you're in the right placeI figured it would be useless if every consecutive page was being ripped like that; but yeah, on second thought that makes sense
It's so they can rip the corner off when they day is done. Spergy shit. Yes theoretically it would allow you to flip to that page easier. But so does a ribbon or a bookmark, which doesn't require regular maintenance from you.
