Try England Afoot (1911).
You'll love it. It's not fiction, though, but a travel book, sort of. A love letter to all that lies outside the cities of England.

Downloaded it from PG a week ago and received my own printed edition of it yesterday.
I always print out books that I can't purchase anymore or can no longer read because they are too damaged.

I'm currently waiting for the delivery of, I think, 9.
