Have you ever come to respect an author more after learning about their creative habits?

Hemingway. One of the few authors that works feel elevated after learning more about him. Maybe it's a product of the text itself lacking, but whatever, I like his work regardless.

Barely anyone had a mustache in the 18th century unless they were a soldier

Philosophers all sound anecdotally autistic
>>
Nabokov's routine comes to mind. Very structured and puzzely.

That's too many words, I can't read this. Where's the Grok summary?

This guy was autistic as fuck. That or stunted and spoiled to an extreme degree.

I think the German language is cursed. Something about increases risk of spergouts.

While Kant is seen as super influential these days, back in his life the German enlightened king Fritz (der alte Fritz) wouldn't even bother meeting up with Kant and would rather hang out in his vacation home with Voltaire and write little gay letters to each other.
I feel sorry for poor Emanuel.
Now we have another Fritz in power who sucks even more.

Schopenhauer was also a funny guy; he once kicked a lady down some stairs for being too noisy in the straitway outside his apartment and had to pay her for the rest of her life.
He also was against labor protestors fighting for democracy or some shit and got scared when he heard knocking on the door, but to his relief it was the Austrian army who wanted to snipe people from his window, and he offered them his opera glasses as a scope.
But I guess that doesn't count as a creative process.

I think Phillip K. Dick did a cool thing in The Man in the High Castle, having a character who made decisions based on Chinese fortune telling, and so Phil did the same thing and wrote the story based on that outcome. He also thought all these worlds he wrote about are real in some drug-addict way.

No, because I believe in the death of the author!
