Poetry tried in the 19th century.
I think he's wrong in dismissing a lot of great modern poets, but he's absolutely right that poetry died as a popular form in the second half of the 20th century. There was a time when books of poetry were as popular as every other genre of writing because they were mostly comprehensible and metered. Contemporary poetry has very little reach now.
Who is this retarded jewtube grifter and why should I care about someone incapable of saying anything remotely meaningful about writers that is not him just reading from Wikipedia?
>>25599386id say the last major movements in poetry were the beats and new york school, after that its just random minorities and women talking about how oppressed they are in free verse
