American literature and medias skew anti-war while European literature and media glorifies it. Europeans are NPCs that are happy dying for some flimsy idea of nationalism. It's funny considering Euros even run a war-tourism business where they will let you buy a ticket to tour their demolished war torn cities. You also have to question why Europeans spend so much more time in war than Americans. Americans close out wars instantly, meanwhile Europeans spend lifetimes in war.

Americans seem to have an entire literary and cinematic tradition dedicated to questioning the bloodshed, state, military institutions, mass mobilization, propaganda, and the general absurdity of getting vaporized for some politician's geopolitical ambitions. Meanwhile, European political discourse seems to oscillate between nostalgia for empires that collapsed a century ago, pretending the EU is the end of history, reading René Guénon and Julius Evola and deciding that modernity is the problem rather than the fact that your country has become an administrative theme park, or occasionally quoting Hitler, because apparently the continental intellectual tradition has run out of material.

Why does European anti-war sentiment so often seem to be replaced by technocratic managerialism or romanticized historical militarism? Is it because Americans are smarter and realize that dying for your country like an NPC bugman is a retarded idea? Or are Europeans just NPCs running the same dialogue tree about European civilization, multipolarity, and the need for a strong leader?
>>
God Americans are so fucking retarded, you're lucky you are far away from any country that would want to hurt you.

The American spirit is defined by a harsh untamable frontier that naturally engenders skepticism of centralized state power and narratives. American identity is intrinsically more amorphous and accommodating of diverse peoples so that it's much more difficult to define a collective American spirit which is sufficiently representative. This is why the Great American Novel is forever out of reach.
European countries until very recently were practically ethno-states if not in name then certainly in function so that the state narrative doubles as a kind of ethnic consciousness. On top of this, European states buy national loyalty through generous state welfare programs that develop a kind of reciprocal attitude between state and civilian. Ultimately this leads to broad alignment on viewpoint which is why the average European politician makes almost identical complaints about the US as the average European on the street.
This kind of state alignment has often been the subject of European self-critique, especially in the treacherous way people betrayed each other under Nazism or Soviet rule.
So it's not that Europeans are pro-war so much as they're always more supportive of the state and less skeptical than Americans.

People are going to disagree with you but you're likely very right. Every ESL is going to go to bed bitting the pillow for you saying something so controversial and brave.

Euros are so deranged and psychopathic they used to pay to go to vacation in Bosnia to shoot innocent citizens down with sniper rifles. This was in our lifetime, by the way.

Occams razor: You are still living in the wake of the Vietnam war, where lack of planning and too big of a proxy war lead to popular sentiment getting coopted by legitimate opinions propped up further by Soviet influence.
That is all there really is to it.

Norway and Denmark got cucked out of the pacifist mindset by WW2. The Swiss war prep mindset is not popular there, but its been a cornerstone of the nationla idenity due WW2.
Sweden and Finland beelined to join NATO once opportunity was ripe.
Former Soviet states ended up beelining for NATO in the 90s, since they seen what happens when Russian tanks roll into any of their satellite capitals
Italy and Spain are still living with the glorious ghost of Fascism. Not the direct one, but the ideals that lead to the rise o Fascism was never purged.
France stil got colonies.
East and West Germany spent decades as potential meat shields in case of WW3, even if winning the peace meant tat Fascism ghost died there.

I also thimk its impossible to write true anti war propaganda. It is too innate to the human psyche.. And by extension I would argue Lindgren and quite a few others failed as well.

EU not only supports USA wars but supplies military assets too
>>

EU respects international treaties, crazy I know. Supporting your ally is not equal to aggression. Only USA and russia use(d) international defense pacts for expansionist wars. I know you are russian nigger so it's very hard to grasp basic logic and concepts and I pity you but you should really stop posting here until you fix that about yourself (never).

>Yeah let me pretend the EU and Europe are the same thing
>Also, I'm going to pretend the US supporting Israel counts as the US fighting a war, but all of the EU supporting Ukraine doesn't count as the EU fighting a war
Is this the most honest european?

Which EU member state has started war in last 20 years?

>EU member state
Holy illiterate. Read the first point again and then read the rest of the thread again. You're the only person speaking about the EU which is only half of Europe.

>Americans close out wars instantly
5 of the 13 service members killed at the Abbey Gate bombing were 20 years old. The youngest it seems was 2 months and 1 day old on 9/11.

I know this is a bait post but at least put some effort into it.

not one credible iota of evidence that this happened btw. It's all just "trust me bro I was there and saw it happen."
>>
>>25625838
>You also have to question why Europeans spend so much more time in war than Americans.
You know for a country with no enemies on its continent Americans spend a lot of time in wars, compared to, say, Australians, to make it at least a bit apples to apples.
>>
>>25626945
When people talk about Europe they aren't talking about russia or Turkey. They are talking about civilized countries inhabited by human beings.

>Or are Europeans just NPCs running the same dialogue tree about European civilization, multipolarity, and the need for a strong leader?

Every war aside from the civil war in american history was more or less by choice. Americans could've sat on their very own continent separated by hundreds of kilometers from anyone who would wish to hurt them and been perfectly fine. They basically sat out napoleon for example.

It's different with european countries, every single one of them fought wars against every other one at one point or another, and many of those wars were existential in nature (if we loose this it's over, the whole country will be gone).

So the imagining of what a war is in the national psyche is completely different. It's even in the language. Americans 'go overseas' or 'get shipped out' while in many European languages you walk/march to war. For an American you go to a faraway land from your hometown in Maine to more or less protect American trade while in Europe you go next door to make sure your children can speak the same language as you do.

America is trying to sell Poland as a vassal state to Russia in exchange for a midterm bump. Meanwhile Europe is in a fight for its existence.

There's no question who the bloodthirsty ones are, the same ones who have shown total disregard for international law, who protect child sex traffickers, and who are right now trying to subvert democracy worldwide in order to save their asses from being prosecuted for their role in a genocide.

It definitely happened. Whether they have the evidence to convict people for things that happened 30-40 years ago is another story.

I miss when random literalwho cannonfodder niggas on the front lines could go on and become president instead of some draft dodging dysgenic fat ass who lives for money. And I want someone that was on the front lines dodging bullets like Neo from the Matrix. Don't give me some faggot twink furry drone operator that is getting railed by every nigga in the barrack. I know the military, along with the contemporary right wing, has a really big furry/faggot problem.

In that sense, it seems as if the current state of Europe is really being Americanized, faster than the native people themselves are able to adapt to. If anyone can be german or British, than the term ought to mean nothing, and yet the trust in the government that the ethnostate period created is still paradoxically there.

The military is still the only place where masculine energy is given a purpose and a structure, and no matter how deeply feminized someone is, it still appeals to them. Blue-collar work is highly masculine and yet listless; it's tough but requires no skill. Music about the laborer is mindless and the domain of the retarded.
>>
>>25629034
Why did you reply to me? What i said had nothing to do with what you're saying.
>>
>>25629034
Masculinity is a meme. Nobody gives a fuck if you're trying to LARP as Andrew Tate or some homoerotic Xitter fascist account a gay Italian autist runs. Just don't be gay or a tranny. Most guys before a certain time did not seem to virtue signal for masculinity so hard, definitely not to a certain extent people do now. The act of giving a fuck about masculinity is rather gay in itself.
>>25629039
He's calling you a faggot and a furry.
>>
>>25629005
you sound butthurt
>>
>>25629458
You’re right about that, but then you see how the military would appeal to homosexuals: the average man doesn’t need to posture how manly he is, he’s not trying to appeal to men but rather women. It’s why gymrats are a gay archetype while “dadbods” (muscular yet domestic) are a female-centric archetype.
