>>25626712>>25626127what do you think of this?
>>25626712>picrelgood taste
>>>25625120I too think it's not a good fit. Age of rape feels to modern and to active? At least in my perspective usally the hushed euphemism hits harder. Like "winter of the merciless frost" sure sounds cool right ? But sometimes something like "spring of the silent cribs" hits harder. Everyone know that merciless frost killed people straight to the point. Silent cribs? What does that mean? Then it dawns on you. It's because there where no children born or surviving the winter. Like you call it that dark age. The struggles etc. Not by what happens. It could be something like the age of carnal betrayal or rotten bonds, base motives? Not sure I what I would chose.
>>25627023Definite improvement in every way.
>>25626712fuck your mother fucking shill go deepthroat a shotgun faggot your book sucks dick. sage
>>25627663You sound schizo, I see no shills in the OP
>>25627023i likeyid beef up the language a bit in some places.>much-hated to loathsome>four men to four catamitesalso maybe it would be funny if the emissaries were the ones getting castrated. just an extra fuck you
I'm working on my next story about an entitled anthro brat getting her comeuppance via tentacle plant. Here's a sample of my other work.Slice of life feeder/feedee couplehttps://rentry.org/c249ntmvDomestic comedy about a guy scheming to prevent his wife from losing weight.https://rentry.org/8wrv8yue
>>25627853Thanks for sharing. I shan't be reading
>>25627853Wait, the second one is just a Malcom in the Middle bit.
write in the morning, or at the end of the day?
>>25627904I never watched that show. I doubt it catered to my interests.
>>25627909Whenever you feel most creative and have the time.
>>25627853And anthro fox milf/femboy shota.https://rentry.org/v8h5ezo7
>>25627909When you first wake up disregard any form of entertainment and just write.I suggest restricting your own access to other sites through admin panel. This habit will help you out later. Before bed, I just read stuff with good gramma that I like so I sleep with that in mind.
gamedev>beta tester: "this movement is clunky, that boss is bullshit, how do i play the game i skipped the tutorial">developer: "yeah makes perfect sense need to tweak those and i must improve the tutorial onboarding even more"writing>reader: "this word is confusing, im confused and bored, dropped on ch3">writer: "are you fucking retardeeeeeddd i chose that word intentionally i am building intrigue fuck you you are not my target audience die die dieeeeee"can someone explain this phenomenon? why does writing feedback specifically make me irrationally mad? ive never had to take this many grains of salt in other mediums but writing seems so fucked on feedback
>>25628196Third worlders have collective dunning krueger syndrome and think they know everything when they can barely spell their own names. They also unfortunately have access to this website. This is compounded by the fact public schools are churning out students that are functionally illiterate and also have access to this website. Why they choose to infest the writing general when they can neither read nor write and have no interest in learning to do so is anyone's guess.
>>25628196gamedev>beta tester: "IT'S TOO HAAAAARD">good developer: "Git gud lmao"
>>25627831"Loathsome" isn't a good synonym for "much-hated." It would be the equivalent of "hateable." A much better alternative is "loathed."
>>25628196Lol that's what you think. Indie Game devs are notorious for sperging out. You don't see it in companies because everyone is kept in check my a team of editors from doing stupid shit.
PSA heads up: a persistent anon who unironically describes himself as "trollmaster" (lmao) has taken to flooding the thread with unreadable word salad. You'll recognize his posts when you see them.
>>25628847im not trying to preserve the original meaning, i just think loathsome is a hilarious and aesthetic word. like you get bonus points if you can fit it in. sometimes beauty > function
>>25628866>thread flooded with unreadable world saladso businesses as usual
>>25628908Terrible mentality. The beauty is the function
>>25628908This mindset is why we don't have good writing anymore.
>>25628934>>25629190Are you guys dumb? Your mentality is fine for like, nonfiction and translations trying to preserve some truth/functionBut this is fiction. The function is "i came up with it", and you can change the function to whatever. It's not set in stone and if a small tweak improves it, why not?
>>25629206You are terribly confused and clearly lack a classical education. Fiction and nonfiction describe the content of the story, not the use of language to write the story. But the attitude I was referring to was more your inability to receive criticism or admit to ignorance, and insisting that what you wrought in your ignorance was actually artistic choice, to cover up embarrassment. This is just another form of immature arrogance. Not only do you refuse to learn, you take pride in ignorance.
>>25629246?I think you lack reading comprehension. Let me help you out buddy, I'm always willing to help out ESLs trying to learn english. My very first post suggested narrative changes and beefing up the language. It did not suggest synonyms, which you guys seem to be stuck on. From the very getgo I wanted to change function. Function is malleable (in fiction). Hopefully this makes sense to you and you can learn something
When you're writing, and you hit a point where you decide "I need to go back and change a prior scene/conversation/description/whatever", do you do that immediately or write a note to yourself and do it after you the whole draft?
>>25629406Right away.I'll just forget and some autist will pick apart the mistake in the comments and berate you over it
>>25629406never. it's a trap. never go back. just keep writing. send it to an editor. your job is to write.
Let's check out how shitty Wing's newest book really is
>>25629416>>25629449okay thankssomething to think about I guess
>>25629272If this is the case your suggestion is even dumber than I thought when I posted >>25628847>hey, is that something you wrote in your voice? I hate it, you should write in my voice instead
>>25629464If it's anything like The Beautiful Kingdom the English will be terrible but the story will be decent
>>25629615Hopefully he improved
>>25628866hahahahaha MINDBROKEN
>>25629619>>25629615>>25629565Random page. Let's shit on it together
>>25629622Reads like shit. >Viktoyia shook her head. Fucking terrible
>>25629629So is that Anon a minimalist prose author?
>>25629637I don't think so. On the other page there's a very convoluted sentence.
