Academia has like 10 years left at an absolute maximum

How do we make it zero?

Less, hopefully. Universities are nothing but brainwashing machines in current year.
>>
Funny how so many people are just waiting for the current state of affairs to fail as it obviously will. How can we make it happen faster? I’m tired of living in this judaised hellscape era, I just want it to fail as soon as possible.

Civil unrest/war and complete instability is not preferable.

>wage gap between university graduates and high school graduates is compressing
>fees are rising
>cheating is more common
>fraudulent degrees from the third world are more common
>PhDs financially worthless
>academic salaries are meagre yet there's more competition for roles than ever

this is before AI, which is going to absolutely decimate certain degrees (it already has)

Everyone I know is planning to send their kids to college. One flirted with the idea of sending his kid to a trade school

>>25627466
You need college to evaluate employees for white collar companies. Someone who does 18-20hrs of college credit every semester getting good grades is proven ...someone worth hiring and training for your position in your company

You hire someone homeschooled you can't get that kind of reliability

Just writing a book isn't enough to include you in the tradition of writing books. Don't feel displaced from the humanities because there are people in the building who are talking about burning the building down. The building is made of stone. They can ugly it up, maybe scorch it, but it's not flammable.

Lots of the women and gay people producing art are actually strong proponents of traditional ideas of beauty, opponents of relatavisim, and feel some things are inherently more valuable than others. Even some of the ones who feel excluded by their own beliefs still believe them. It's the computer nerds that are the real enemies, the sort of people who would like to maybe burn your house down if you don't agree that the Sonic The Hedgehog experience is just as important and powerful as the Leaves of Grass experience. There are some people like you worry about, don't get me wrong, but most of the people who love the humanities share more with each other than they share with anyone else, and there are still lots of us left.

AGAIN: YOU PUT MORE PEOPLE IN COLLEGE YOU WILL BRING DOWN THE OVERALL AVERAGE
>Current Gen Z Completion/Enrollment: Just under 50% of Gen Z young adults (ages 18 to 24) are either college students or college graduates, holding steady at this rate since the oldest members turned 18 (an improvement from 36% in the year 2000).

USED TO BE JUST GOING TO COLLEGE WAS GOOD..NOW YOU NEED TO AT LEAST FINISH TO HALF OF YOUR CLASS

IF WE DO 100% COLLEGE YOU WILL NEED TO FINISH TOP 25%

It's like I'm talking to kindergarteners on here
>>
>>25627568
I don't know why you're shouting, I agree there are too many people in university
But universities need a bloated student body to fund them, if you halve the amount of students they will go bankrupt
So again, academia has 10 years left
>>
>>25627575
Shit you obviously don't watch college football. By the way I forgot to check the scores yesterday
>>
Nah. The elite schools will always have their legacies and nouveau riche kids and other social climbers. These schools aren't going anywhere, and academia will simply shrink around these institutions.

But the state schools and such? Yeah they're doomed. Between AI and the gender imbalance, they're in an unrecoverable death spiral.
>>
It's apparent that as time moves along and technology progresses people should be getting more education on average, the work week should become shorter, and allowances for time off and other benefits should increase. Obviously not linearly, but that's what should happen. Education should also become more and more about the arts and abstract interests over time, just because our basic needs are more and more easily covered.

Instead education is more and more seen as a job training program that you pay for instead of your employer, and more and more shunned when it is not useful to the employer at all. If companies want that kind of education they should be the ones paying for it. If the students are paying for it it should chiefly benefit them.

Say you go to medical school. 4 years undergrad then usually 4 years of general medical knowledge. Almost none of this gets used day to day by most types of doctor. What they use is the stuff they learn in their residency, which is the on the job training they do, often near minimum wage when accounting for the hours they put in, after their eight years of school. The first eight years are often openly presented to them as a shit test. The board controls how many residency spots there are for each type of doctor and everything else is not much more than random exercises to see how badly you want one of those free slots vs the intentional oversupply of students that were let in the door to begin with.

A system like that is maybe justified when you're talking about a socially well respected job that pays decently. It doesn't need to be imported down to forest management stuff, petty biologists, math teachers, advertising faggots, social workers, business operators. The whole education system doesn't have to be a shit test con. And it's not the people running the schools that are the main source of this decay. It's the same guys who want more H1Bs every year. They want their supply of labor to show up ready to be put immediately to work, and they don't want to have paid for it at all.

>>
>>25627581

It does. It separates the wheat from the chaff. Nobody wants Cletus and Jamal to manage forests because they will show up to work on time. You dumb motherfucker.
>>
>>25627588
10 years ago was when the Trump movement started with the college is le bad stuff. Meanwhile the rest of the white collar business world is going on as usual only hiring college graduates for white collar jobs. You obviously haven't been job hunting in a while if you think you're going to see "college degree not required" when looking for a white collar job
>>
>>25627580
Elite schools will probably be fine as long as they have a long line of chinks that use it as a status symbol

>>
>>25627603
I see I'm talking to somebody who doesn't even understand the conversation. College degrees being required for everything is pretty much why they no longer have any value. They no longer confer any meaningful advantage to the people who have them, because everybody has one. So it all comes down to who you know and other factors, not your degree. So why even bother with the degree? It's a question more young men are asking themselves, and the declining enrollment numbers of men in school has been a hot topic for the last decade. It's so bad now that even Tier 2 schools have to put their thumb on the scales to get the number of boys to be roughly on par with girls.
>>
>>25627608
Can you explain to the board what engineering is?

This psyop has been decades in the making. It is upsetting to witness, but entirely predictable. You must remember, half of the United States population cannot read above a 6th grade level, and are medically overweight. They are quite literally fat and retarded on average. The powers that be bred a population of fat, illiterate cattle. Archetypal Goyim. It's almost poetic in its decadence.

>>25628400
>Universities are already closing
American Universities are, yes.
>All of those places (Europe) are rapidly running out of public funds
First off, no, they're not rapidly running out. Some European countries are, surely. But there's a lot of European countries. European countries do not have the same legal, cultural or political framework. Bunching them together is ridiculous when they don't operate in the same way. Hence why the EU is so toothless, btw. Getting all those countries to cooperate is like trying to herd lolcats. Regardless, Europe haven't integrated Academia as a part of their bureaucracy anyway, and it's alarming that you think they have. Universities are sometimes state funded, yes, but they're not part of the bureaucracy. China's academia on the other hand is tightly bound to culture and politics, and they are currently aggressively legislating around AI and expanding their scholastic efforts.

Almost every political group feels like things will finally go their way after the collapse and the rebuild starts. It is a delusion borne out of the need for a hail mary play due to the powelessness they currently have. The only people who think they might lose in such a situation are current asset owners, but they are wealthy enough to provide themselves escape hatches. Chances are, the post collapse era won't be as kind to you as you imagine.

>>25627466 is all correct.
It is a unmeritoric patronage network too on top of it all.
>>
I mean, all the state schools and ivies might continue for a great while longer due to inertia. Country club boomers will send their kids to what is essentially a vacation resort to make connections, get drunk and have sex with other rich kids. There is value in that networking opporutunity between rich kids. There will need to be a place for genuine academic overacheivers too.

It is just that I don't see how places like Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Grand Valley State, etc. can continue like this indefinitely. There is no point to them. All they do is provide an overpriced credential that is steadily losing value.
>>
The vast majority of mouthbreathers have no need or interest in higher education. They already resent and slack at the state mandated education that forces them to be able to read, write, and do simple arithmetic. Nothing of value is being lost here.

Not really Narxists live in idealism for a system that has never succeeded while I live in realism knowing how such resets go every single time throughout history. The first things to go following a societal reset will be women’s rights and democracy and these are exactly what need to go. The emergent society will also stop wasting resources on holding niggers and third worlders afloat and they’ll die off as they should. If we could fit a mass slaughter of jews in there as well it’d be great, but like I said I’m not trying to be too idealistic.

I first noticed the desperation around 2021 when like 300 MA and PHD dissertations were written up on the incel community. I, being autistic and obsessed with incel forums, read their research and found many to just be blatantly lying.

I'll say this though, older women researching into it were much more honest about incels. And even called out much of the moralized shaming coming from other researchers. But younger men in their 20s, the sort of Tim Wise types, had a hatred that just oozed out every few sentences. Emphasizing how they're all loser whites with fragile masculinity, who can't handle the contemporary crisis of masculinity. Nevermind incel spaces are some of the most ethnically diverse on the internet and white supremacism is seen as a gigacope.

I get the vibes they were angling for the sort of extremism consultant job attached to the police or whatever, and bought into this whole mythology of incels being a dangerous threat. The younger they were, the more white and male they were, the more they were leaning into moralizing hatred. Ironically they've moved onto Andrew Tate, who himself is no longer relevant, and are painting him as this devil figure. They're constantly like 3 years behind the ball.
>>

These are people willingly and on their own initiative providing themselves the education the state system didn't. Whereas I'm guessing you and the other school lovers rarely read at all, much less centuries old classics for the fun of it.

You think AI has anything to do with ANY of that? AI just came out last week. It hasn't even made its mark yet. The enstupidification and diminution of degrees has been going on decades. It has nothing whatsoever to do with AI.
