I have a funny story for you. Are you aware of the book "A True Story" by Lucian of Samosata? He was a 2nd century AD Roman historian and the book is a satire of books from his age that told incredible adventure stories or tales of foreign lands that purported to be true but were all nonsense. True Story is a first person narrative, which the narrator insists is true, about being a crewman on a greek ship that gets caught in a storm and is carried up to the moon, where the crew become mercenaries to the space alien king of the moon, and help him fight the armies of the king of the sun. Then later they return to Earth, get eaten by a sea serpent that is hundreds of miles long, find a society of fish people living in its stomach who they attack and conquer the island they built inside the serpent's guts.

Anyway after they escape the serpent and a whole bunch of other crazy shit happens, all the while repeatedly insisting everything in it is true, it ends by saying:
Thus far I have told you what happened to me until I reached the other world, first at sea, then during my voyage among the islands in the air, then in the whale, and after we left it, among the heroes and the dreams, and finally among the Bullheads and Asslegs. What happened in the other world I shall tell you in the succeeding books.

As to whether there were any more parts to Lucian’s True Story, the answer is probably not, because in a surviving ancient manuscript of the novel there is a single, irritated marginal note adjacent to Lucian’s last sentence, which reads, “The biggest lie of all.”

It is no coincidence that almost everyone that had the misfortune of being involved in the writing of something hates books

it was a typo, he meant to say "Call me fishmeal" because he thought he was going to get eaten by a fish
