It might be interesting, I'm tired of depressing chud lit and want to experience erecting Chad lit.
It’s really fun reading. To give an example of an episode, there is one time when Casanova is traveling with this monk and living by gambling and scamming and these hags let them stay the night but in the middle of the night they try to rape then and in a panic Casanova and the monk punch them but are worried if they killed them and have run away. And in another episode Casanova is in prison and seduces one of the guard’s wives and then gets and std and another one of the guard’s wives starts hanging around him and says it is so much harder to be a woman than a man, because sometimes you’re married to a man who can’t satisfy you. Casanova says oh you mean you want me to fuck you. I would be happy to but I currently have an std from fucking so and so and so out of consideration for you I won’t but maybe if you come back in a few weeks and she slaps him and he thinks it was very rude
>>25634323Why don't you just fucking read it? Honest question. If I wanted to read it, right now, I could be doing so in 5 minutes.
>>25634323Yes, it's good. He's a good writer and it's more Sadean than you might expect>>25634417It's a massive undertaking
>>25634323Those are some nice tits
I've read it. It's long.I like the part where he gets mildly insulted by a guy so he waits for him in the dark and then clubs in the back of the head sending him into a irrigation ditch where he presumably drowns and then has a few chipper little Italian thoughts and m about how jolly it is. Also when he repeatedly fucks the two sisters in the same bed.And when he has to sell some of his furniture so he "puts in a call to the jew."
Casanova advises that if you are still young and caught doing some crime just forthrightly admit to it and you will be forgiven because of your cuteness. Not the best advice for 4chan.
>>25634474What works for Chad doesn't work for not Chad.
>>25634323>all the covers have naked women on themIs this the proto-gigachad?
>>25634323Yes I've read my diary
>>25634323Not worth reading in its entirety. Most of the stuff concerning his alternate luck and societal ascension is kinda boring while his sexual exploits are very fun to read aboutIdk what to recommend you in english but if you can get an abridged version. Definitely read about his jailbreak, it's exciting and interesting. Then pick a collection of his tales of love and conquest. My personal favorites are the one in which he tricks a rich noble woman into having sex with him by pretending to be an archwizard and promising her reincarnation, and the one in which he questions his sexuality for being attracted to a castrato but is relieved to find out was actually a teenage girl in disguise
I had a Cuban MILF lady tell me I was "such a Casanova" one time. She didn't really mean it as a compliment but that's how I took it.
Hmm. Interesting.
>why im a gigachad: the story of how im a total pussy slayer and everyone loved me and i was an 11/10 adonis and this all definitely happenedYou guys don't seriously believe this is non-fiction right?
>The perfect woman is a man with wide hipsWhat did he mean by this ?
>>25634839He was an ass guy i guess
>>25634323>I'm tired of depressing chud litMe too, actually
>>25634833so and so.you missed a part or two.may be three.but you're not wrong.there's fiction in that magnum opus.
>>25634323I read the Penguin abridged version earlier this year. His life story starts out interesting but once he escapes the Venice jail and is on the run it starts to get a bit repetitive and boring with Casanova entering a new city, starting a new con of some kind (ex, impregnating an elderly woman and telling her she will be reincarnated as the the child). The thing is worth reading for yourself but his early life, his trips to Constantinople are far more interesting than the multiple con schemes in the latter part. Also you should know that nothing much can be learned from this man. Casanova is as Federico Fellini said - a completely empty shell of a man going through physical motions but empty inside.

>>25634323abridged or the 4000+ page version, which would you recommend?
>>25634824My mum once called me a Casanova after I told her I stayed round a girl's house after having introduced her to a different girl a couple days previously... The girl's whose house I stayed round had actually rejected me a few times and I only stayed round there because there was an after party, not for any romantic or sexual purposes; but I still felt like a chad.
>>25635208>>25635449I know it’s tempting but never read an “Abridged” version of anything, nobody asked some blue-haired enby to decide which parts of classic literature are “relevant”. Either read what was written and published or don’t bother, but definitely don’t go around saying you “read” something that was abridged. You didn’t and any criticisms you form as a result are invalidI guarantee you there are scenes that a modern editor cut purely to do with content, and I know what they are. You’re doing the equivalent of watching an old movie like Gone With The Wind where the racism is cut out and the run-time is trimmed by an hour and a half. You didn’t watch the movie
>>25635471Reminds me of an entry in one of Paul Klee's early diaries. He finds himself walking home with a girl under each arm: "I felt like a playboy".FWIW his wife refused to marry him until he "matured", and he is known for coming into his own as an artist unusually late, only when he was nearing 40.

>Casanova shows erection to 2 women, from 'Memoires de Casanova' (Giacomo Girolamo Casanova de Seingalt, 1725-98, Italian), published 1875, engraving by ChauvetGreat great grandma was fucking nasty
>>25634323I'm about 1000 pages in>Chad litThere is nothing "chad" about casanova, the pursuit of love, the need for constant movement and adventure is completely alien to the modern understanding of the "playboy" or whatever incel caricature "chad" is supposed to represent. Also, the seducing parts of the memior are the least interesting parts of it
>>25635709Pretty good schlong to foot ratio
>>25634833Casanova was famous in his time, most of the exploits detailed in the book can he confirmed by other sources
>>25635709Uncircumcised, right?
In terms of pure entertainment it is the greatest 1000+ page work of literature you can read. I initially read it because I went through a phase of reading lots of first hand accounts from 200+ years ago so while we're at it I will also recommend you read Pepys
>>25634833People used to be far more impressive and interesting, I know it’s hard to believe now. Humanity was basically a different species back when Mozart and Beethoven were alive at the same time in the same country and a little ways over was Kant and over in England was Byron and etc. Or another example is Cervantes and Shakespeare dying on the same dayThe world used to be chock full of people a single one of whom would be by far the greatest genius alive todaySo yes, Casanova was probably really about that life and telling the truth
>>25635768>>25635978Remember when /lit/ had actual adults instead of 16 year olds like these two
>>25636086what do you think the average age of this board is? I'd say 28, my age. Maybe I got it all wrong
>>25636086Nice cope retarded faggot. Once again, pretty much all of casanova's exploits have been corroborated by multiple historians over the last 200 years, and this would be obvious if you read anything from the memoirs. There is even a mass of letters he kept from his life that was stored in dux castle where he died. Casanova was infamous in an era and amongst a social class that kept a massive amount of written records
