How have you immersed yourself into philosophy and not come to the conclusion that it's all just meaningless, pointless bullshit?
>>25636040>How have you immersed yourself into philosophyLike getting into a hot bath quickly, >and not comeI wear all my clothes;>to the conclusion that it's all just meaningless, pointlessease myself lightly; and then,>bullshit?proceed to shit my pants.
I have pursued, alas, philosophyJurisprudence, and medicine,And, help me God, theology,With fervent zeal through thick and thinAnd here, poor fool, I stand once more,No wiser than I was before.

>>25636050SOLD ON SUICIDEWell I don’t care-for, th’ things I eat,Can’t stand that boogie-woogie beat—But I’m sold, on, suicide! You can keep Der Bingle too, a-And that darn “bu-bu-bu-boo,”Cause I’m sold on suicide!Oh! I’m not too keen on ration stamps, Or Mothers who used to be baby vamps,But I’m sold, on, suicide! Don’t like either, the Cards or Browns,Piss on the country and piss on the town,But I’m S.O.S., yes well actually this goes on, verse after verse, for quite some time. In its complete version it represents a pretty fair renunciation of the things of the world. The trouble with it is that by Gödel’s Theorem there is bound to be some item around that one has omitted from the list, and such an item is not easy to think of off the top of one’s head, so that what one does most likely is go back over the whole thing, meantime correcting mistakes and inevitable repetitions, and putting in new items that will surely have occurred to one, and—well, it’s easy to see that the “suicide” of the title might have to be postponed indefinitely!

>>25636070but anyone with taste won't think this man looks particularly appealing, same for women that wear, even very adroitly, standardising makeup
>>25636070No, faggot.
>>25636040No. The rejection of philosophy is a philosophy in itself
>>25636070>Zoomer hair>Faux fur collar This guy takes cocks up the pooper.
You should be more interested in being able to engage with philosophy yourself than you should be interested in philosophy itself, but the latter is a good hobby too. And one heck of a grift if you can get paid for it.
>>25636111Philosophy is a horrible grift. There's no way it's even 1% as big as the politics grift, let alone 1/1000th the size.
>>25636040>>25636127

>>25636129>everything I don't like is a fallacyKek, truly the mind of a philosophy-tard. Let me guess, you put yourself into debt for a philosophy degree that is worth less than toilet paper? Your field has a small audience and a large amount of people that want to participate in it. You aren't making shit you dumb faggot, and if it were actually profitable you'd have examples of successful philosophy grifters instead of whatever this depressing post is. Kill yourself. Genuinely. You put yourself into debt for the most worthless thing in the world. Fucking kill yourself you worthless dog. Kill yourself so you can make the world better with your absence.
all my most meaningful experiences require philosophy if i want to get a grip on them. otherwise they're too ephemeral and abstract to know what to do with. if you feel you don't get philosophy it's probably bevause you're not relating it to your own experience. and not just the experiences that analytic philosophers fixate on, like 'this table has the attribute of being hard', but the moments when the world seems at its largest and most mysterious to you.
>>25636070what if you weren't gifted with a good jawline this fellow?
>>25636040This is sadly true. A solid grounding in philosophy/metaphysics will help you get a better grasp of alternative lines of thought, however, although these alternative lines of thought cannot help you get a better grasp of philosophy. These alternative lines of thinkings include readings of the Tao Te Ching, the Bible, and esoteric christian teachings, to name a few. It may also deepen your appreciation of poetry in general.
>>25636070Hate it when zoomers mistake homosexuality for aesthetics.
>>25636040Honestly, if you aren't planning on astral projecting to call everything you meet a bunch of faggots and losers in the most sophisticated and adhoc ways possible there is no real value to most philosophy.Unless you want to be a public speaker then being able to flex some charisma with your speech is good,
>>25636928>astral projectingWhat good is this
>>25636040I have come to the conclusion that asking what the meaning of life is, or why we are here, or what purpose our existence serves, is a pointless question. The ability to ask such a question does not mean the question is rational or that it merits an answer. If you travel to the north pole and ask a person standing there how to go further north, they'll tell you the question doesn't make any sense. You're as far north you can get. If you ask someone what the smell of a triangle is, they will tell you shapes don't have specific smells.Asking what the meaning of life is exactly like that. You can say the words "what the meaning of life?", but that doesn't mean the question makes sense. Life *is*. It's not the answer to something. It's an imperative.
