I love it when you have a cuddly little guy like Tokomon and Chiropomon and then they open their mouth and they have more teeth than a chainsaw.

The Beatbreak writers really love the worf effect and I think it’s annoying.
>>23835178Pandamon is the only correct answer.
>>23835228>the worf effectArmalizamon I suppose, but I don't really remember Wolvermon being that strong.
>>23835247Me neither. Wolver is pretty much the Yamcha of Digimon like Fairimon was.
https://nyaa.si/view/2102942How was the 28th episode?
>>23835422>Jokermon's Owner is literally just Harley QuinnAlso how the heck is Gekkomon misremembering his own attack names
Gekkomon malapropismsアナナ開けエッジ (Anana Ake Ejji;) (from アナイアレイトエッジ; Anaireito Ejji - Annihilate Edge)I can only imagine that Anana comes from Ananas (アナナス) which means pineapple, ake 開け is commence/open. I don't know how it was localized, but I'd personally go with Pineapplate Edge完璧体 (Kanpeki-tai) (from 完全体; Kanzentai). The name of the second-last evolution stage is kanzentai, which literally means Complete/Perfect Body, and is officially simply written into English as Perfect. It's typically localized as Ultimate in the dub, but in Japanese, Ultimate is reserved for the final stage 究極体 (Kyuukyokutai - "Ultimate Body") which is localized as Mega. It may help to think of the Kanzen 完全 as "complete" in the sense of completion of natural growth, which is why it was originally the final stage, and Ultimate as the "pushed to its limits to evolve even further" state, as 究極 individually mean for something polar, extreme, taken to its ultimate, highest. 完璧 (kanpeki) and 完全 (kanzen) both mean perfect, but kanzen is more utilitarian in meaning of literal completion, while kanpeki is more subjective, like "That was perfect!".バーニアゼンカイ (Baania Zenkai; Vernier Full Throttle). He says it all in katakana which implies that he doesn't know the meaning, but he uses verniers as MonarchLizamon.
>>23836349That's the joke, Gekkomon can never remember his evolutions' attack names.
>>23836358Has he done it with actual attack names before? Because it's not like Armalizamon needed to say "dual-wielding" to use his attacks (in fact he's even malapropised about it while evolved)
>>23836368>Has he done it with actual attack names before?I can't actually remember if he has.
>>23836356Alsoバナナがないとエッジ (Banana ga nai to Ejji - No Banana Edge)And すし かつ (sushi katsu from the foods) for 押し活 (oshikatsu; fandom)Episode was solid, though it wasn't visually decent until the last 2/5 of the runtime.I'm more intrigued by GIFT than I was by Tactics. The ending reminded me of that Black Mirror episode with the artificial bees and weaponizing social media and online hate. They did the narrative thing where they had to properly establish to the audience that the MC is able to access his new form at will, that it wasn't just a one-time fluke, even if both times featured desperation. I like that they have two versions of the sequence, a Warp Evolution-esque one for Gekkomon and a standard one for ArmaLizamon, though I miss different evolution stages/methods having different names I don't know the purpose of not making a verbal distinction since different stages are properly acknowledged unlike in Frontier and Xros Wars, but it feels like a creative decision based on the world.Something I've been wondering about with all the baby Digimon is if they retain their personalities/knowledge from when they were evil. Feels like they could be a useful source of intel if they could speak.>>23836375The first time he does Double Neutron Blade, he says the attack name correctly, but immediately after as he looks at the blades, he calls it ナットー流 Natto-ryuu. When he uses the attacks, he instinctually gives them the correct names, but when he thinks about it while not using them, he messes them up. Like I can imagine Gekkomon calling MonarchLizamon something else.
I love that Gekkomon is so excited to be a dinosaur with rockets attached
>>23836907>Something I've been wondering about with all the baby Digimon is if they retain their personalities/knowledge from when they were evil. Feels like they could be a useful source of intel if they could speak. We know they retain memories from Punimon (Hyemon) & Bommon (Commandramon). I'd say yes based on those examples.
>>23836938It feels so weird since they were decidedly evil for a while. Like what is Sunamon going to do there after being with Arab Epstein for 23 years and killing people? I wouldn't be surprised if Klay returns and amends his ways, but it's just really weird to think about these Digimon with serial killer personalities like RedVegimon.
After going through both a traffic accident and one of my aunts passing away from cancer, I'm finally resuming the Xros Wars manga storytime with chapter 3.
The end of the third chapter.
>>23837214>spoilerThat is horrendous to read. Genuinely sorry to hear that.
